Reservoir House - Baildon

During the initial planning of our latest development, we at D & A Properties realised that we needed guidance on the interior design. We were very impressed by a local showhome that had been designed and fitted by HMS Interior Design so commissioned them for our Victorian Gate House development.

Our goal was to restore and extend this unusual house, incorporating both traditional and modern features and HMS’s Heather Shuttleworth immediately understood and appreciated our requirements. The colour boards and schemes that she presented for the lounge, snug and bedrooms exactly interpreted how we envisioned the finished house to look.

However, not only did Heather develop these exciting designs, but also advised on a number of the architectural aspects of our plans. She was also able to find specialised tradesmen and suppliers, when we wanted something that little bit special … for example, replacement coving that exactly matched the original, maintaining the authenticity of the house. Whenever necessary, help was willingly provided with selection of furnishings and fittings, even accompanying us on our shopping trips.

The development has, therefore, benefitted from the insight and inspiration of HMS Interior Design, helping to achieve a stunning interior with which to attract buyers and, hopefully, achieve the best price, even in these difficult times for the property market. It’s a pleasure to work with Heather who has a refreshing and very personable approach, whilst accurately interpreting our needs. When we move onto our next development, we will certainly be utilising her services again and would have no hesitation in recommending HMS Interior Design to others, whether they be developers like ourselves or house sellers who want to improve their sales prospects.
